After serving in the United States Peace Corps, the Founder of RCV returned to Connecticut with one major problem. She could not forget about all of the beautiful people who she had worked with during her service in West Africa, particularly the Children.
Initially, items that she knew would be of great use, to the people of Ghana's Northern Region, caused the Founder to collect all types of things: first clothes, then shoes, then glasses and eventually electronics.
Along with friends and family members, box after box would be packed, labeled and shipped to Tamale, the capital of Ghana's Northern Region. Today, more than 18 years later, RCV has relocated to the Gulf Coast, and most recently completed a Mission Trip to Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam.
RCV has partnered with PPPSC in the past to host nine (9) fundraisers, and with several other NGOs and charities.
