If you've ever wondered what service in programs like the Peace Corps or Americorp would be like...wonder no more!
RCV will be hosting 4 Farm Days in 2023 where Volunteers from both near and far can come together to restore farms that have otherwise been neglected, fallen into disrepair or abandoned.
This year, There will be very affordable sleeping accomodations available for the first 10 individuals to register or the first 6 couples.
Transportation from the Guest Houses to the Farm will be provided each day as well as Family Stlye country cooked meals.
Come pump your own water from our Artisian Well, pitch your tent, or park your RV at the Lucy & Lue's Primative Campground, located just steps away from RCV's Farm Hand Project. All Volunteers for the RCV Farm Hand Project will receive vouchers to park and camp for FREE for the length of their volunteer service (up to 60 days).
Night time campfires, singing and roasting marshmellows will make for memories that you won't soon forget. If you're a stargazer then you'll be in heaven, the night skys are chock full of bright vibrant constellations without any interference from city lights.
Raise funds to cover your trip, or secure sponsors to purchase items from the RCV Farm Hand Market and back your raincoat & boots and come on down.
This is a new program, aimed at helping poor and struggling Black farmers to rebuild, revive and save farms that have been in their families for generations.
If you've never "Roughed It" in the forrest, then you are in for the experience of a lifetime.
Come with an open mind, and zero expectations of the comforts of modern city living, and you'll do just fine. Even if you cannot work in the sun, you can help at the canteen, help with serving food, or just keep someone company. Look for dates in July, August and September. We hope you can make it to at least one event!

Upon registration, an email will be sent to confirm the dates of your volunteer service. A list of items that you should bring will be provided, along with other helpful information regarding your travel and logistics.
Remember RCV is a non-profit charity so any contributions that others make to help sponsor your trip are tax deductible, simply contact us for a tax receipt.

The 5K Care@Home Crusade Walk/Run
The 5K Crusade is a charitable event and fundraiser that will be held Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the Medal Of Honor Park in West Mobile, AL.
1711 Hillcrest Rd, Mobile, AL 36695
On event day, registration will take place at the Pavilion where fun, snacks and festivities are planned from 8:00 AM until 12:00 o'clock noon.
Remembering the Elders in the Village (REV) is hosting this event to help generate funds and resources for patients who have great difficulty paying for non-covered home-care services, whose family members or caretakers need respite, and who may require Personal Care Services. The REV voucher program has been designed to help patients who have fallen behind on non-covered services or who can demonstrate an economic hardship by subsidizing a portion of the cost of their Home Care trip fees.
