Farm Days 2023

If you've ever wondered what service in programs like the Peace Corps or Americorp would be like...wonder no more!

RCV will be hosting 4 Farm Days in 2023 where Volunteers from both near and far can come together to restore farms that have otherwise been neglected, fallen into disrepair or abandoned.

This year, There will be very affordable sleeping accomodations available for the first 10 individuals to register or the first 6 couples.

Transportation from the Guest Houses to the Farm will be provided each day as well as Family Stlye country cooked meals.

Come pump your own water from our Artisian Well, pitch your tent, or park your RV at the Lucy & Lue's Primative Campground, located just steps away from RCV's Farm Hand Project. All Volunteers for the RCV Farm Hand Project will receive vouchers to park and camp for FREE for the length of their volunteer service (up to 60 days).

Night time campfires, singing and roasting marshmellows will make for memories that you won't soon forget. If you're a stargazer then you'll be in heaven, the night skys are chock full of bright vibrant constellations without any interference from city lights.

Raise funds to cover your trip, or secure sponsors to purchase items from the RCV Farm Hand Market and back your raincoat & boots and come on down.

This is a new program, aimed at helping poor and struggling Black farmers to rebuild, revive and save farms that have been in their families for generations.

If you've never "Roughed It" in the forrest, then you are in for the experience of a lifetime.

Come with an open mind, and zero expectations of the comforts of modern city living, and you'll do just fine. Even if you cannot work in the sun, you can help at the canteen, help with serving food, or just keep someone company. Look for dates in July, August and September. We hope you can make it to at least one event!
